Over 700 Guests Expected at Unofficial Kickoff for National Homebrewers Conference

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – June 26, 2013 – Over 700 visitors to Philadelphia will meet and greet with the young and witty Ben Franklin tonight -- Wednesday, June 26th -- at The Brewing Network’s 8th Anniversary dinner and party at World Café Live.

The Brewing Network’s BNA8 is presented by Northern Brewer and Midwest Supplies.  World Café Live is located at 3025 Walnut Street in Philadelphia (19104).  The evening begins with a sold-out dinner party at 5:30 p.m., followed by a public reception from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.  Tickets are still available online at http://thebrewingnetworkphilly.eventbrite.com.

The reception and dinner serve as the “unofficial” kickoff for the 35th Annual American Homebrewers Association National Homebrewers Conference, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from Thursday, June 27th through Saturday, June 29th.

In addition to meeting the young and witty Ben Franklin, guests at The Brewing Network’s BNA8 will enjoy Philadelphia-area craft beers and local food selected exclusively by The Brewing Network team. Live music performances include the band “The Trophy Fire,” as well as performers from Paul Green's School of Rock.

Tonight’s event comes on the heels of the young and witty Ben Franklin’s appearance last night at a workshop for financial planners in Old City Philadelphia by Dynamic Dimensions.  Later this week, the young and witty Ben Franklin will be appearing at the American School Counselor Association 2013 Annual Conference, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Sunday, June 30th.

As portrayed by actor and entrepreneur Rob DeVitis, the young and witty Ben Franklin is not a staid and stuffy historical figure dusted off for bored schoolchildren to pass along the way, more than the face on a $100 bill, Franklin is an engaging and thoughtful figure who was not only a statesman but an inventor, a musician, a writer, a printer, founder of the post office and the library.  Franklin was a multi-talented sensation of Philadelphia in the 18th Century who has come back to live in the 21st Century to share his experiences as one of the sensations of the age.

The young and witty Ben Franklin has earned accolades for his appearances at a number of high-profile public and private events over the past 14 months.  He is a Preferred Vendor of the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau, which enables him to provide additional resources to conventions, groups, and meetings planning to hold events in the Philadelphia area.

The young and witty Ben Franklin can be found online, at http://www.BenFranklinToday.com, where he can be invited (for a modest fee) to attend your special events, either in the City of Philadelphia, or in areas surrounding William Penn’s Green Country Towne.  The young and witty Ben Franklin can speak to any and all groups on topics including American history, Philadelphia history, and the life that earned him the title “The First American.”
