Credit & Collections Expert Andy Harmelin of A. I. Consulting Extends His Services to Law Firms, Solves Collection Challenges for Dilworth Paxson LLP

Philadelphia, PA – July 21, 2011 – Even large law practices can have credit and collections process challenges. When Dilworth Paxson, one of the most prestigious national law practices, found their own collection challenge, they reached out to Andy Harmelin of A. I. Consulting.

Dilworth Paxson, which has a large Philadelphia presence, conducts a broad and diverse regional and national law practice representing a wide variety of clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to closely-held businesses, governmental entities, individuals, and other institutions.

Like other professional service firms, law firms, architecture and engineering firms, Dilworth Paxson is traditionally focused on delivering critical solutions for their clients, not looking after their credit and collections process.

“From time to time we run into situations where we, either our attorneys or myself, can no longer get a response from clients with past due balances,” said Eric Bowen, Controller at Dilworth Paxson. “At some point, assistance from outside the firm becomes necessary, and Andy Harmelin is whom we chose. He has proven to be very effective for us. Andy is knowledgeable and professional, but I think what I appreciate the most is that he is in constant contact with us. I always know where we stand with the clients we've forwarded to him which is important when I'm asked by our Executive Committee about these matters. More importantly, it assures me that he is pushing to get results.”

A. I. Consulting, which Harmelin founded in 2000, provides law firms, consulting firms, professional services firms, engineering, architectural and environmental companies in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic region with cash flow improvement by offering recovery of past due accounts, cash flow solutions and credit evaluation. Harmelin brings over 20 years of experience in the industry to his role at A. I. Consulting. Before launching A. I. Consulting in 2000, Harmelin worked for several engineering and architecture firms in the Greater Philadelphia area for over 30 years. His company works to improve a client’s cash flow and bottom line by developing and customizing solutions that produce maximum results.

A 1970 graduate of Drexel University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Harmelin is qualified as an expert in the field of credit and collections by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and is on the roster of TASA, a nationally recognized firm providing experts to attorneys in support of litigation.
