#5 Morningside College Mustangs Meets #16 Hastings College Broncos Saturday, October 10th In College Fanz Sports Network’s NAIA Football Game of the W



October 9, 2009 – This Saturday, #5-ranked Morningside College travels to #16 Hastings College for the College Fanz NAIA Football Game of the Week at 1 p.m. Central / 2 p.m. Eastern in a live TV webcast at http:/www.CollegeFanz.com.
The colorful College Fanz Van arrives in Hastings, Neb. Friday morning to provide live, on-site coverage, including pre-game, half-time, and post-game shows from the campus.
The inaugural season of the College Fanz NAIA Football Game of the Week delivers live video stream coverage of games each weekend throughout the 2009 season. The full schedule is available at http://www.collegefanz.com/gd-schedule.jspa.
College Fanz Sports Network is the world’s largest online college sports community launched by ESPN founder Bill Rasmussen. He will speak to students at Hastings College during a class on Friday morning, and will be in attendance at Saturday’s Great Plains Athletic Conference contest to meet with fanz before and during the game at Lloyd Wilson Field, and will preside over the coin-toss at the start of the game.
Veteran NAIA sports commentator Jason Dannelly will be the color analyst for the Morningside at Hastings matchup. Dannelly is the director of college relations for College Fanz and producer of the College Fanz NAIA Football Game of the Week.
Hastings enters Saturday’s gridiron matchup with a 5-1 overall record and a 4-1 conference record following 27-3 victory over Dordt College last Saturday in Sioux Center, Iowa. The Broncos are coached by Paul Mierkiewicz, who has a 56-34 record in his ninth season as head coach.
Morningside is a perfect 4-0 this season overall and in the conference, following last Saturday’s 62-7 victory over Dana College in Sioux City, Iowa. Head coach Steve Ryan has a 60-24 overall record in his eighth season guiding the Mustangs.
