Career Management/Exec Search Consultant Elva Bankins Joins Kelleher Associates as Senior Partner

Wayne, Pennsylvania – August 12, 2008 – Elva L. Bankins, a highly respected business executive with extensive experience in career management consulting and executive search, has joined the Philadelphia region’s premier career management and executive coaching firm, Kelleher Associates, Inc., as Senior Partner.

“Elva brings a sterling reputation and deep experience in human capital management, leadership consulting, and organizational development across a broad spectrum of industries,” said Ed Kelleher, founder and President of Kelleher Associates. “At Kelleher Associates, in addition to her senior strategic role, Elva will be responsible for business development, counseling senior executives in transition, and executive coaching. Elva is widely known and admired and currently serves in the vital role of President of the Forum of Executive Women (FOEW). I am absolutely proud and delighted to welcome Elva to our senior leadership team.”

“Throughout her career, Elva has successfully established and nurtured relationships with senior executives and business leaders throughout the tri-state region,” said Mitch Wienick, the Managing Partner at Kelleher Associates. “She brings a deep knowledge of the regional business and employment environment, an invaluable network of strong relationships, and a wellspring of relevant experience that will add significant value to our clients and customers, and we are thrilled to have her on board.”

Most recently, Bankins was a Senior Vice President at CEO Resources, a highly regarded Philadelphia-based retained executive search firm. Previously, she was Senior Vice President and General Manager for Lee Hecht Harrison, one of the largest career transition firms in the world, and ran their tri-state operations, doubling the number of offices and doubling revenues while significantly increasing the visibility of the firm. In this role Bankins managed top-level career consulting engagements and was involved in every aspect of the career transition and executive coaching process, frequently consulting with Board Members, CEO’s, and other executive level leaders within her clients’ organizations. Bankins’ earlier business career included sales management roles with business software giant SAP America, selling enterprise-wide solutions during its initial start-up in the US marketplace.

Bankins began her business career with Baltimore Gas & Electric before moving to the Philadelphia area. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Eastern University. In addition to her President’s role at the FOEW, she is a founding member of the Advisory Board of the PNC Woman’s Financial Services Network and was chosen a 2005 Woman of Distinction by the Philadelphia Business Journal. Bankins was recognized by the Pennsylvania Commission for Women in the book “Voices” as a role model for African American and Latina girls.
