Philadelphia, PA –
May 3, 2013 – Springtime
is a big, busy time for the young and
witty Ben Franklin, with the talented “re-enactor” appearing at a wide
variety of corporate and private venues over the past few weeks.
Of
note, the beloved Philadelphian and Founding Father has revised his website, at
BenFranklinToday.com, with new photos,
videos, and background materials as well as new ways to “book” an appearance by
the young and witty Ben Franklin for
your upcoming special event.
Coming
up this Saturday, May 4th, the
young and witty Ben Franklin, as portrayed by actor and entrepreneur Rob
DeVitis, will be appearing at the 113th Annual Session of the
American Association of Orthodontists, at the Pennsylvania Convention
Center in Center City Philadelphia. Over
10,000 orthodontists, including practitioners and students, will be attending
the four-day conference, with the young and witty Ben Franklin meeting
attendees at functions during the conference’s opening day ceremonies.
Earlier
this spring, the young and witty Ben
Franklin appeared in his very first television commercial campaign, for American
Heritage Federal Credit Union.
The 30-second spot features Ben Franklin, in the person of DeVitis,
alongside other “founding fathers” at the beginning of the commercial. It is
currently airing in the Greater Philadelphia region, and can be viewed online
at http://vimeo.com/62814456.
On
Tuesday, April 23rd, the
young and witty Ben Franklin greeted corporate executives and their guests
for dinner at the historic City Tavern in Old City Philadelphia for Eye
Lighting, Inc. Over 100 guests were entertained by Dr. Franklin in this
memorable location, while they were in Philadelphia for the Lightfair
International trade show at the Pennsylvania Convention Center that
week.
Earlier,
on Monday, April 22nd, the
young and witty Ben Franklin greeted guests and dignitaries at the
University of Pennsylvania’s Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology in attendance
at the 14th Annual Awards Gala at the Global Leadership Congress. The black tie gala event on the Penn campus
featured the longest running, most prestigious
awards program in the corporate learning arena.
On
Monday, April 10th, the young
and witty Ben Franklin put on his entrepreneurial hat to address the over
100 attendees at a meeting of The Entrepreneurs Network at the
Overbrook Golf Club. Dr. Franklin
reminded the attendees that “failure is but a milestone on the road to success”
in his opening remarks at the meeting.
On
Wednesday, April 3rd, he mingled with guests and greeted dignitaries
at a business networking event at the historic Walnut Street Theatre.
As portrayed by DeVitis, the young and witty Ben Franklin is not a staid and stuffy
historical figure dusted off for bored schoolchildren to pass along the way,
more than the face on a $100 bill, Franklin
is an engaging and thoughtful figure who was not only a statesman but an
inventor, a musician, a writer, a printer, founder of the post office and the
library. Franklin was a multi-talented sensation of Philadelphia in the 18th
Century who has come back to live in the 21st Century to share his
experiences as one of the sensations of the age.
The
young and witty Ben Franklin has
earned accolades for his appearances at a number of high-profile public and
private events over the past 14 months.
He is a Preferred Vendor of the Philadelphia
Convention & Visitors Bureau, which
enables him to provide additional resources to conventions, groups, and
meetings planning to hold events in the Philadelphia area.
The
young and witty Ben Franklin
can be found online, at http://www.BenFranklinToday.com, where he can be invited (for a modest fee) to attend your
special events, either in the City of Philadelphia, or in areas surrounding
William Penn’s Green Country Towne. The young and witty Ben Franklin can

history, and the life that earned him the title “The First American.”
