Philadelphia, PA – March 17, 2011 –Cosmo DeNicola, a longtime entrepreneur in both technology and professional football, has completed the acquisition of a full partnership stake in J. Mitchell Management, a 25-year-old film, television and theatrical talent agency based in New York.
The resulting new firm, MKS&D Talent Management, launched this month. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Jeff Mitchell, the founder of the former J. Mitchell Management, has partnered with DeNicola to form the new venture. Elise Koseff and Maggie Schuster are principals in the new firm. DeNicola is chairman of the firm, while Janet DeNicola joins MKS&D’s board.
In addition to their New York office, MKS&D recently opened a Los Angeles office to expand the company’s services in the heart of the film and television industry.
This acquisition marks DeNicola’s first major entrée into the film and television industry. The DeNicola family’s portfolio of award-winning technology companies includes Futura Healthcare Technology, which provides maintenance, deployment and support services for mobile workstations in over 1,500 hospitals across the United States; Amtech Software, the packaging industry's leading supplier of software solutions, installed in over 800 manufacturing plants in North America; Amtech Mobility, which brings Amtech’s mobile software and technology innovations to a broad variety of industries and Futura Services, a leading provider of managed services.
In addition, the DeNicola family acquired an ownership stake in the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League in 2010. The 2008 Arena Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Soul resumed play earlier this month with a 58-52 overtime victory at the Pittsburgh Power on March 11th.
MKS&D Talent Management builds upon DeNicola’s considerable entrepreneurial expertise, and Mitchell’s extensive experience representing film, television and theatrical performers.
