New York, NY – March 17, 2011 – MKS&D Talent Management launched earlier this month. The new firm represents the partnership of two successful entrepreneurs with established leadership positions in entertainment and technology.
Jeff Mitchell, the founder of J. Mitchell Management, a 25-year-old film, television and theatrical talent management firm based in New York, has partnered with Cosmo DeNicola, a longtime entrepreneur in technology and professional football, to form the new venture, Mitchell, Koseff, Schuster & DeNicola (MKS&D).
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Elise Koseff and Maggie Schuster are principals in the new firm. DeNicola is chairman of the firm, while Janet DeNicola joins MKS&D’s board.
In addition to their New York office, MKS&D recently opened a Los Angeles office to expand the company’s services in the heart of the film and television industry.
The launch of MKS&D couples Mitchell and his management team’s extensive experience representing film, television and theatre performers with DeNicola’s considerable entrepreneurial expertise in the areas of technology and professional football.
Notable past and present clients include James Gandolfini (“The Soprano’s); Robert Iler (“The Soprano’s); Bryan Greenberg (“How to Make It In America”);, Molly Shannon (“Saturday Night Live”); Yin Chang (“Gossip Girl” and the upcoming Disney film “Prom”); Tristan Wilds (“90210” and “The Wire”); Alexandra Chando (“As The Word Turns” and the upcoming ABC Family series “The Lying Game”); E. J. Bonilla (“The Guiding Light”); Emma Kenney (Showtime’s Shameless) Lily Pilblad (“Lights Out” on FX and “Fringe”); and many others. The firm also represents Nikki M. James, one of the stars of the upcoming anticipated Broadway smash hit musical “The Book of Mormon,” which opens later this month in New York.
The DeNicola family’s portfolio of award-winning technology and software companies includes Futura Healthcare Technology, Amtech Software, Futura Services and Amtech Mobility. In addition, the DeNicola family acquired an ownership stake in the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League in 2010. The Philadelphia Soul resumed play this month after winning the Arena Bowl Title in 2008.
“Jeff Mitchell and his management team have an impressive track record of over 25 years managing top talent in film, television and theatre, and through our partnership in MKS&D we have greatly increased our ability to nurture and grow with our clients,” said DeNicola.
“Cosmo DeNicola has not only infused us with working capital to grow into a truly national talent management company, he brings to MKS&D the drive to combine a top level staff with state of the art technology that will provide world class services to it’s clients,” said Mitchell.
West Coast operations for MKS&D are based at 9701 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills, while East Coast operations are based at 70 West 36th Street in New York.
