Technology & Sports Entrepreneur Cosmo DeNicola to Acquire New York’s J. Mitchell Management Representing Film, TV & Theatre Performers
Fort Washington, PA – December 20, 2010 – Cosmo DeNicola, whose DeNicola family portfolio of award-winning technology companies includes Amtech, a software company that serves industries including the Packaging industry, and Futura Services, which provides technology support and services for software, hardware and IT infrastructure, is in final negotiations to acquire a substantial stake in J. Mitchell Management, a 25-year-old boutique personal management firm located in New York, NY.
J. Mitchell Management represents numerous film, television and theatrical performers. Past and present clients include: James Gandolfini (The Sopranos), Robert Iler (The Sopranos), Bryan Greenberg (How to Make It In America), Molly Shannon (Saturday Night Live), Tristan Wilds (90210), Yin Chang (Gossip Girl and an upcoming Disney film, Prom), Emma Kenney (Shameless), Alexandra Chando (As The Word Turns), EJ Bonilla (Guiding Light) and many others.
DeNicola’s acquisition and financing deal will facilitate the opening of a new California office, which will be located at 9701 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills under a new name which will be announced after the completion of the deal.
Joining the board of directors, Cosmo and Janet DeNicola (CEO of Futura Services) will bring their business acumen to J. Mitchell Management, providing new direction and guidance.
“A bi-coastal presence will give the firm a powerful ability to service both California and New York based clients, as well ensure our strategic advantage in the acquisition of new clients, both established and developmental, in all areas of the entertainment industry,” said Cosmo DeNicola.
This acquisition marks Cosmo DeNicola’s first major entrée into the film and television industry. In the summer of 2010, the DeNicola’s became part of the ownership group of the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League. The Philly Soul resumes play in March of 2011 after winning the Arena Bowl Title in 2008.
