Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Launches New Website at EPYSA.org with New Features including Coaching Video & Blogs
Plymouth Meeting, PA -- September 10, 2010 -- Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer, which for more than 35 years has worked throughout Eastern Pennsylvania to promote, foster and perpetuate the game of soccer to the region’s youth, today launched their newly-enhanced website at http://www.EPYSA.org.
The redesigned Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer website includes feature stories on youth soccer and professional soccer players and coaches from the region, news and photographs about the region’s teams and championship competition, updated schedules, handbooks and rules, as well as updates about recent matches featuring Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer member teams.
Enhancements also include a new video player on the website with new instructional video content created by Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer in association with Bozeken Productions of Wayne, Pennsylvania. The video series will be updated regularly by Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer, which is also creating a state-of-the-art video production suite in their new Plymouth Meeting office.
“This is the first redesign of our website in over five years,” said Chris Branscome, Chief Executive Officer of Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer. “Our new website is much more dynamic and interactive, featuring streaming video, blogs, and chats. The new website was designed by American Eagle, the same company that has created websites for US Youth Soccer, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Chicago Bears, the Big Ten, the Southeastern Conference as well as several NASCAR sites.
“Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer can now manage our new website in-house on a daily basis which is something we were not able to do previously,” Branscome said. “This enables us to update the content on our site more frequently and consistently, as well as giving our membership access to new e-mail newsletters and other content. We’ll also be able to upload photos, video and other content from our members, which we haven’t been able to do before, giving our organization a powerful way to connect and communicate with our membership. Our new website is not only attractive, but easy to navigate and designed to deliver content that will keep our members coming back for more.”
Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Director of Coaching Mike Barr and Assistant Director of Coaching Danielle Fagan are featured in the instruction videos along with local Olympic Development Program players demonstrating drills and exercises. Barr and Fagan are also contributing regular blog comments and observations on EPYSA.org.
The new website is just part of the exciting new developments at Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer over the last year, beginning with Branscome’s hiring as CEO last September, the promotion of Barr to the full-time position of Director of Coaching and the recent hiring of Fagan as Assistant Director of Coaching, as well as the move into new, state-of-the-art headquarters in Plymouth Meeting and the development of a new logo for the organization.
