Plymouth Meeting, PA – September 17, 2010 – Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer, which since 1972 has worked throughout Eastern Pennsylvania to promote, foster and perpetuate the game of soccer to the region’s youth, recently hired Damon Nolan as Director of Operations for the organization.
In the newly-created position, Nolan will direct both internal and external events and programs including tournaments and other sponsored competitions, and work closely with all leagues, clubs, and strategic partners to maximize participation, activation and exposure of the programs and events for Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer.
“Damon Nolan brings to Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer an extensive background in league, club and tournament operations, which will greatly enhance our organization as we continue our recent growth,” said Chris Branscome, Chief Executive Officer of Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer. “His experience both on and off the field will help Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer continue to provide better resources and services to our members, partners and friends.”
Most recently, Nolan was the Executive Director and Club Administrator of West Chester United Soccer Club, where he managed the daily operations of the 4,000 member youth and adult soccer organization. He grew the club’s revenue during his tenure from $750,000 to over $1.4 million by increasing membership, developing new programs and events, and expanding existing programs and events. Nolan holds a United States Soccer Federation “B” coaching license and is a grade “8” referee.
Nolan’s hire as Director of Operations is just part of many new developments at Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer over the last year, beginning with Branscome’s hiring as CEO last September, the promotion of Mike Barr to the full-time position of Director of Coaching and the recent hiring of Danielle Fagan as Assistant Director of Coaching. This summer, the organization moved into new, state-of-the-art headquarters in Plymouth Meeting; introduced a new logo for the organization; and recently launched a completely redesigned Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer website.
