Wealth 360, New Peer Learning Group for High-Net-Worth Individuals, Launches in Philadelphia

For the first time, the greater Philadelphia region has a peer learning group for high-net-worth individuals—Wealth 360.

Similar to efforts in other metropolitan centers in the United States, Wealth 360 is a community of high-net-worth individuals meeting in facilitated peer learning groups. The non-profit organization is designed to promote personal and professional development and generate new perspectives on living with wealth. The purpose is summed up by the group’s subtitle: “Navigating the Challenges and Opportunities of Wealth”.

Wealth 360 has been created by a core group of successful entrepreneurs and philanthropists in the Delaware Valley. A Charter group has been established and met for a preliminary planning session in November.

Three pivotal factors distinguish Wealth 360 from similar peer learning groups. The most important is its balanced mission, which focuses on both portfolio strategies and the alignment of wealth with members’ values, passions and purpose. The group is a non-profit, which helps to maintain focus on its core agenda of learning and support. Finally, the presence of a professional facilitator ensures a high trust, collaborative climate and deeper group dialogue.

Wealth 360’s facilitator and co-founder is Jay Cherney, Ph.D. a licensed psychologist, consultant and mediator.

“Wealth 360 will promote personal and professional development through a culture of support, trust and transparency,” said Cherney. “We’ve seen the growth of groups in cities like New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, and we believe that the Philadelphia region is ready for a group that leverages collective intelligence to enhance wealth satisfaction.”

“Wealth 360 facilitates growth toward a balanced and fulfilling approach to life and wealth,” Cherney said. “The group will explore each other’s assumptions and choices. Members will know they are getting unbiased ideas from multiple perspectives on wealth and life issues, something they may not receive anywhere else.”

Wealth 360 will hold six full-day meetings each year, which will feature two speakers on a broad range of topics. Once a year each member will present a “Wealthy Living Roadmap”, outlining their investment plans and the alignment of wealth with life goals. In addition, members of Wealth 360 will meet individually with the facilitator six times a year. These private coaching sessions will clarify members’ financial and life goals and facilitate the alignment of wealth with purpose and values.

Cherney brings over 25 years of clinical and organization consulting experience to Wealth 360. His core expertise is facilitating collaborative relationships. The co-author of the recent book, “Appreciative Team Building: Positive Questions to Bring Out the Best of Your Team,” Cherney is a popular public speaker and has worked with a variety of corporate clients, including the U. S. Postal Service, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, Novo Nordisk and the Food & Drug Administration. He recently developed an in-depth life and wealth planning process for individuals and couples, “Designing a Wealthy Life”.

New members are invited to join Wealth 360 through consent of current members. All members are required to sign a confidentiality agreement and must have a minimum net worth of $10 million. Prospective Wealth 360 members include successful entrepreneurs and business owners, senior executives, Wall Street professionals and professional money managers. When the first full group convenes, members’ collective wealth is expected to be approximately $250 million of assets under management.

Wealth 360 has already established their schedule for 2008, with full day meetings slated for the second Wednesday of alternate months. The first session for 2008 is scheduled for Wednesday, January 9, at The Cira Centre in Philadelphia.
